On September 24th...Our Most Anticipated Event of the Year...

  The DSBS INTERNATIONAL BLUES CHALLENGE
  "Goin' to Memphis"
 BATTLE of the BANDS
  was on Sat., Sept. 24th, 3 to 10 pm
               at
  It Was a Day of HOT REGIONAL BLUES!

With 8 GREAT BANDS Competing for the
$1000+ Prize to help defray trip expenses!!

Opening the Show at 3pm was supposed to be last years'
Battle of the Bands winners and the DSBS representatives
at the 2011 International Blues Competition,
 Mikey Jr. & the Stone Cold Blues, but...
 Mikey Jr. & the Stone Cold Blues had van difficulties on the New Jersey Turnpike, and also had TWO other gigs scheduled for that Saturday evening and night, so were relieved of their DSBS duties in order to tend to the stresses of a broken down vehicle. 
          But in the spirit of togetherness, the bands present banded together and hosted a small Jam Session before the beginning of the Battle of the Bands Competition
and all was well in the end!!
