You Came, Listened and Voted, and your consensus choice
to represent DSBS at next year's IBC BLUES CHALLENGE is
THE ROGER GIRKE BAND!!

All seven Bands were OUTSTANDING, but Girke's squad took the nod
FOR THE THIRD TIME in DSBS history, no mean feat in itself
considering the caliber of the competition.

Our hats are off to Roger and his Band and to all of this year's competitors. 
 THANK YOU ALL for a GREAT AFTERNOON OF THE BLUES!!

Shake It! The third CD release
from The Roger Girke Band
features six newly penned songs
from East Coast guitarist-singer-songwriter Roger Girke and his hot band!

The Roger Girke Band are three time winners
of the Diamond State Blues Society International Blues Challenge
(2004, 2005 and 2008), the only band to have ever done so
and two time semi-finalist at the Memphis, TN International Blues Challenge (2005 and 2006)

Shake It was coordinated and co produced by Roger and longtime friend and musical partner,
Joe LaSorte, head of Teletone studios and Teletone Records
and features the awesome RGB line of the past three years, outlined below.



The Roger Girke Band can be seen playing regularly throughout the MidAtlantic states
(Over 80 dates annually) Additionally, the band's second CD "My Baby Loves That Stuff"
won an esteemed "Top 5 Best Self-Produced CD" award at the
2005 International Blues Challenge.
Shake It is sure to continue the tradition!
